At Oshtemo Family Dentistry, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care to all our patients. To ensure that we can accommodate everyone in a timely manner, we have established the following Appointment Cancellation and No-Show Policy. This policy helps us minimize unused appointment slots, allowing patients in need of care to receive timely attention.
Appointment Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Cancellation Policy:
- Advance Notice: We kindly request that patients provide at least 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This advance notice allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient in need.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may incur a fee:
- $50 for appointments up to 90 minutes.
- $100 for appointments longer than 90 minutes.
No-Show Policy:
- A "no-show" occurs when a patient misses an appointment without providing any notice.
- Fees for no-show appointments are as follows:
- $75 for appointments up to 90 minutes.
- $150 for appointments longer than 90 minutes.
New Patients:
- New patients who fail to attend their initial appointment without prior notice will not be rescheduled.
- Late cancellations for new patients allow for one reschedule opportunity.
Repeated Offenses:
- Patients with three or more missed appointments (late cancellations or no-shows) within a two-year period may be dismissed from the practice.
Late Arrivals:
- If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure that other patients are seen on time.
- The first instance of a late arrival requiring rescheduling will not incur a fee; however, subsequent occurrences may result in charges.
